Since 1990, NJCA's PAC has considered endorsements of candidates based on their commitment to and leadership on the issues NJCA works on — health care, fair insurance and banking, progressive and fair taxes, housing, affordable utility rights, voting and civil rights, political reform, environmental justice — and other progressive issues.

     NJCA solicits information from candidates based on NJCA developed questionnaires, candidate interviews, voting records, prior experience in office and whether or not there is a history of working with the candidate.

     The PAC also considers whether or not our endorsement of a candidate and working on that candidate's campaign will serve to build the strength of our coalition and our affiliated organizations.
